My heart cried for the child, for I saw immediate parallels between her bold expression and answers that come immediately to us from our Heavenly Father and His ministering angels. And I also saw the modern day application of the parable that Jesus told about a woman who had 10 coins and lost one and searched unrelentingly until the lost coin was found (see the Bible, Luke 15:8-10).
The little girl in the grocery store pictured for me the importance of crying, unrelenting howling in order to draw attention to something very precious that is lost. Her cries brought immediate response and help. It was a dramatic scene and I was part of it. I feel that I was present for purpose.
This is what I see in this story of the little child and the lost coins. My soul is most precious. Its complete healing and restoration is the most important thing for me to do. The soul will cry out to the Father for help if we will allow it and do not muffle it. My soul is in the process of being helped, yet I may stop this help at any moment. The child in the grocery store did not cease until she was certain that all the lost coins were found. The woman in the parable told by Jesus did not cease searching until her lost coin was found. So is it with me (and each one of us), we must realize we have lost something of great value, and we must never cease in the healing of our soul, until the transformation and new birth of our soul is accomplished.
After I had finished my shopping I went to my car. The mother of the child was loading her groceries into her van, which was parked next to my vehicle. I stopped for a moment and spoke with her about her daughter. The child was all smiles now. One thing I said was, “It is so important to cry. It brings immediate help. You daughter helped me to see this again.” The mom smiled. I got into my car and as I drove away I began to cry.
